The Mr Men and Little Miss Team in London.

Children with Leukaemia RunnerHeld every September in Hyde Park, the adidas Women’s 5K Challenge (formerly known as the Flora Light Challenge for Women and Hydro Active Women's Challenge) is a superb 5k (just over 3 miles) event brought to you by the same people who organise the Virgin London Marathon. It is a truly fun-filled day out that has introduced so many women to the benefits of running and, indeed, many have then gone on to run the Marathon itself the following year!

Children with Leukaemia RunnerThe event sees a total of 22,000 women and children take part In Hyde Park. The atmosphere at the adidas Women’s 5K Challenge is fun and family-oriented with many women bringing sisters, daughters, cousins, granddaughters and friends. It doesn't matter if your name is Paula Radcliffe or Little Miss Giggles who has never even walked the distance before, everyone is welcome and everyone is guaranteed a memorable day out.

Last year, the CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA Mr Men and Little Miss Team of 250 runners – each sporting our distinctive Mr Tickle and Mr Happy running vest – were easy to spot enjoying glorious sunshine at the various courses across the UK.

We have a team of CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA volunteers along the route, dressed in the trademark charity red with balloons and banners, and a team of staff and volunteers are on hand to greet each and every runner, no matter how long it takes to complete the course! Each runner, their families and friends are also invited to a picnic in the park in London… a well-deserved chance to unwind and reflect on the day with fellow Mr Men and Little Miss team mates.

Children with Leukaemia RunnerEvery runner is a star in our eyes and deserving of our deepest gratitude. The motivation and determination required for preparation and training, with runners pounding the streets in often wet and cold conditions, is awe-inspiring. Completing the 5k and raising significant amounts of sponsorship is a wonderful personal achievement. The support and commitment of each and every runner their family and friends is so deeply appreciated and vital in raising much needed funds for our fight against the biggest childhood cancer.

We are so grateful for the opportunity, so proud of all our runners and so thrilled with everything that is achieved through the adidas Women’s 5K Challenge.
